Mistaken Identity - Demos (2000s)

Mistaken Identity were a street punk band from Hamilton around in the early 2000s. A friend sent me a bunch of recordings that were all demos so I don't quite know when they were recorded or what release they are from. Some of the songs would eventually become Bludgers songs. Members went on to form Suicide Dogs and The Bludgers.

Suicide Dogs - Breakin Away (2006)

Suicide Dogs were another Auckland band on Puppy Killer Records the formed in 2005. They played a Rancid, Social Distortion influenced punk. They had members from other sweet NZ band such as Mistaken Identity and Graveyard Rumble. This was there only release. They opened for a few international bands then went their separate ways, with their singer going on to form King Cannons.

Garage Fodder - Scum Beat (2004) / They Make The Rules (2010)

Garage Fodder were a West Auckland Punk band that formed in the early 2000s. They played a raw punk/street punk sound. After playing heaps of gigs around Auckland over the years they released a new album in 2010 (which including a re-release of Scum Beat) and soon after stopped playing shows. If you never saw them these albums definitely worth listening to!

Lager Louts / Ferndale Straglers GCOTP Ep (2011)

Lager Louts and Ferndale Stranglers were both Oi/Street Punk bands from Auckland who broke up sometime in 2011. Self described as 'Good cunts on the piss, playing good music on the piss'. The much anticipated 'GCOTP Ep' came out in March 2011. Loads of sweet as singalong Oi anthems from both bands. Well worth having a listen, as they were the best two bands doing this kind of stuff recently in New Zealand! Ka Pai.
